Picture Winter – January 6

The prompt: Cracked Open
I have no idea what the intended use of this little bowl was.
There were two left behind by my mother-in-law when she was removed from the house. Long story, but believe me, she had it coming. And that is not something I say lightly.
Anyway, there are two of these. They each have cracks and chips, but I love the colors so much, I just couldn’t throw them away. I use them for prep bowls in the kitchen, so I see them every day.
It makes me sad when I think of the things that were cast aside, thrown in a heap in the garage or just abused to the point of being useless. There was so much neglect in that house.
It makes me happier to think that these little delicate bowls now have a happy home, in the sun, in a place where they are valued and appreciated.
Kind of like Mr. Smith.

More brown eggs. These are the shells from Grand Master H’s first three egg meal of the day (there will probably be at least one more). I am just loving the different shades of cream and brown. Each one has a unique shade and shape to the shell. I could take pictures of them all day.
